getting closer...

Yay! The quilt itself is actually done and I thought it was so beautiful outside right now that I would try some photos out there. I'll find out if my pattern cover graphics guy (DS) thinks it is suitable for printing. With the shade and breeze, it's not as pristine as the pictures I can get indoors, but I like the backdrop better. Bob is out on the golf course and I am out the door for a walk followed by grocery shopping. It's a beautiful day!

It is beautiful and goes great with the nature as the backdrop!

I absolutely love this quilt, Pam! Way to go! I enlarged the photo so I could see more details, and your quilting looks fabulous, as well as the pattern. And I agree with Becky, that the backdrop is really good. Did you plan that when you built the trellis and planted the ivy/grapes/whatever that is?

The building of the gallows, as Bob calls it, was in no way related to quilt display! The vines are wild grape vines he dug up from our wooded area and transplanted. They do have little bunches of grapes, but they stay tiny. No grape stomping festivals planned!

I like the pic/display a lot. I was just working on the layout for this pattern before work this morning!
